"Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia nervosa are both types of psychiatric disorders characterized by severe disturbances in eating behaviors. Both occur primarily in previously healthy young women who become overly concerned with their body weight and shape."

Ladies and gentlemen. I want to bring to your attention the issue of
eating disorders. It is unhealthy. TV and the casting of extremely shapely actors and actresses does not help. Social pressure and so many slim friends do not help.
The fact that you are coming of age and increasingly self-conscious does not help.
Remember that your body is the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20.
You are all growing people. Eat what you need to develop healthy bones and tissue. I assure you that when you come to my age,
physical appearance is not half as important as character and friendship. Focus on those.
May I suggest
an alternative to dieting. Exercise. Guys and gals, you'll look much better, much more alert and alive when you exercise. You will of course also naturally lose weight. The guys will develop more muscular frames. The ladies will have firmer arms, more healthy, beautiful complexions...
So guys, if you think that by dieting and losing so much weight you're doing yourself a favour, I appeal to you, think again. You'll be all skin and bones.
Girls, if you eat too little and think it's good for health, think again. A healthy diet comprises of less fried stuff, more soupy meals, less chocolates and less sweets... etc.
It's okay to eat LOTS of HEALTHY food.
Allow me to share with you that when I was around Pri 3 or 4 I couldn't see my toes when I looked down cuz my belly was too big. For a few years I stayed off chocolates and sweets. I peeled off the skin of chicken that I ate. I stayed off soft drinks/ aerated drinks. I played lots of soccer. But I still ate a lot food (homecooked, mostly), but not fried food/ fast food. And I think I was quite in shape by the time I was Sec 1/2. A healthy diet works. Dieting doesn't.
