Hey all
I thought I needed to clarify at least one point on the last post.
The bible does not say we are evil.
Yes, we have the seed of sin in us, due to Adam's fall. And yes, we are sinners. However, that is only half the truth.
Most Christians forget that the word of God also says we are seated in heavenly places, and that God has triumphed over sin, making them a public spectacle. We are referred to countless times in the NT as saints.
So please don't get it wrong people. We are not evil. We are saints, who have been made right with God. And if we are made right with God, we are no longer evil. No one has the right to call us evil or wicked, and that includes ourselves. Does not Psalm 1:6 say that the Lord watches over the righteous but the way of the wicked will perish?
So which are you? Romans 8:16 says that as many who are called children of God have the
Spirit of God. We are all
children of God, made righteous, no longer considered evil, since we are sanctified by the blood of Christ."Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died- more than that, who was raised to life- is at the right hand of God and is also interceeding for us"- Romans 8:33-34I am very concerned over this matter. Any thought that says you are evil is a lie. It is a very dangerous deception. Never believe in that. If we think we are evil, we give ourselves the excuse to act in evil ways. No, we are good. God has made us right. And we shall act in faith and live righteously, as He has enabled us to do. God's power is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20b).P.S. Please don't be discouraged. Faith, that was a very excellent piece that you brought to this blog. I'm only trying to correct one small point that was wrong, out of many many good points.
